Install Windows Search in Windows XP

How to download and install Windows Search 4.0 in Windows XP

Windows XP has lame search capabilities by default. To get powerful indexing and searching capabilities, you need to download and install Windows Search 4.0 for Windows XP.

Open Windows Search download page and click the Download button. Those using the 64-bit edition of Windows XP should download the program from here instead.
Windows Search 4.0 download page, click Download.

After downloading and launching, Windows Search Setup opens. Click Next.

Another License Agreement... Click I agree and then click Next.

Installing Windows Search might take some time, but when it's done, click Finish.
Windows XP, Windows Search Setup finished. Click Finish.
